BMI Calculator
Your BMI is used to categorize your body weight. This guide will help you understand your results.
The body mass index (BMI) is a health tool that allows you to determine your body fat percentage based on your height and weight.
How to calculate the BMI:
Metric System:
BMI = weight (kg) / height² (m²)
Imperial System:
BMI = weight (lb) × 703 / height² (in²)
Interpretation of the BMI results:
Underweight: BMI < 18.5
Normal Weight: BMI 18.5 - 24.9
Overweight: BMI 25 - 29.9
Obese: BMI ≥ 30
While BMI is a great tool to understand your body mass index, please note that a BMI result is not indicative of your health. BMI cannot measure your underlying disease or other important factors. It is merely a tool to determine your body fat percentage. Please consult your doctor for more detailed results or a series of tests.
